I have a credit card collector after me to pay $8,000. I was just recently served with a lawsuit summons (but not to appear in court, just that I need to send a written response within 20 days or they can garnish my wages), so I was thinking about claiming bankruptcy the last few months because I have other credit cards in collections, and now I want to. My question is this, if I have this summons/lawsuit against me can I still claim bankruptcy? Or will I not be able to now? HELP!!!!!!!! -
