A raging wind in driving rain,
come thickest fog to shallow mist,
hard the sun must persist.
The howl of a dog steeped in rain
cries endless through the silent gloom,
yet still a warming flame breaks through
in light.
Snow so cold, hail so hard,
the thunder and lightening storm,
summer sun appears forlorn.
Greying of days blackest of nights,
sunny times come to sight,
fearsome chill and charging gale,
let summer sun melt the hail.
Light dim in yellowed grey
but soon the cold must give way,
defiant frost try as you may
to fight our sun at break of day.
North wind cease to blow no more,
frozen snow has gone for sure,
rain dies as it drops to dry,
sun! glorious warmth adorns the sky.
Now you know what else you do,
weather be for me or you.
