Walls enclosed all of this hate.
Anger blinded victims of despair.
There was no love
deep down just pain
Only one true escape
A portal to true love
and no other.
The real world was not enough,
never uncruel.
Sorrow stalked joy around every corner, every shoulder.
Music was life.
Substitute for reality.
But when the music wasn't enough,
What did you have left?
Angst, sparked by self hatred
poured into a cracked vase of empathy.
Dark, then light, over and over again.
Why hold on to fall again,
A loop of addiction.
Hope then came, life was made.
Finally, something to live for.
Hope never lasts forever.
It never goes without pain.
They are one, following after the other.
You had no choice.
Covered up by fake love.
All to be lost.
Peace is afoot,
But anger is what you have.
Forced to nothing but a shell of fire.
You will never fade.
The world you built is still strong,
And it stands tall.
Encapturing the lives of your believers.
You are not gone.
When the heart is opened
you are there.
When songs are sung,
you are near.
When the pictures are hung,
Your story is heard.
You will live on
Forever.
