a pause, happens in nature to signify,
an equilibrium, an interim,
no choice is made. no action taken
all is in tandem, an interval of time
sanctuary of momentary,
both precedes a decision and follows the outcome
allows for recess, to assess, evaluate
and think
a safety valve before resuming
if at all
a time to listen to your mind and body
but, pause too long and we end up in limbo
it is a physical mechanism
which leaps the gap without stirring
from now to then
and back again
perhaps, the muses and revelations,
revery and memory,
inventions and discoveries
art and illusion, despair and delusion
occur during such moments
