If I could see nothing
it would look like a glass, neither
empty nor full, just left there,
cold and waiting.
If I could touch nothing
it would feel like a rainbow, so
colourful with glee,
but it's not really there.
If I could smell nothing
it would smell like the rain,
fresh and scared,
always destined to fall.
If I could taste nothing
it would taste like water, it can
swirl and twist,
but lacks much emotion.
If I could hear nothing
it would sound like death, quiet
and sound like memories left so far behind.
