You reached for me, I caught you
Together we promised to always stay true
In joy or in sorrow, through the cold or the hot
In sickness and in health, whether we have or not
To cherish the exciting moments always, forever
To fight the sad times and be for ourselves comforters
To reach for the sky and build our heaven in the noon
And to kiss goodnight under the full moon
Together, forever; was our anthem
The promises we made were sacred and solemn
The touches and hugs were more than just a ritual
The kisses and roses were not business as usual
Watching you close your eyes in my arms, to sleep
Watching those lips move as you whisper your love to me
Are some memories I won’t let go or call a past
They are encrypted in my heart and written in the stars
Looking at the calendar, seeing the days and the gap
Studying the map and calculating the distance apart
Having to spend lonely nights without your smile
Makes me fear, though I know you’re gone only for a while
Hearing the birds hum the song we love singing
Seeing the moon tonight show a picture of us kissing
Is responsible for these memories flashing back
And reminds me that even nature knows what we have
So I’m witting this just to let you know that
Near, far, wherever you are
Our hearts will together and forever go on
And I wish that you’ll be soon to return
