How brutal todays youth seem
Uncaring, lost without hope and dreams
Who is to blame?
Give me a name.
The fault belongs to us as parents and mentors
We left them alone and closed the doors
We ignored their pleas for help
Now look at the results
We gave no direction
We left them alone with no disciplin
Selfish were we when they needed us.
Give them some money open the door and then push.
We never heard them cry
We never gave them the love they needed to grow in life.
We failed the generation today
We are paying the price for letting them stray.
They feel no pain.
Violence breaths heavy in their games.
They have no compassion
No imagination or passion.
They are like zombies
Never maturing emotionally
Just look at the news and the internet
They have no remorse for what they do and then paste it
How can we help them change their life?
Show them we care and guide them to a new light
Give them your time and teach them what is right
Bring back the meaning of family
Show them unselfish love and dignity
Put passion and compassion in their hearts
So when they mature they are off to a strong start
We are at fault for these sad times in our children's lives
Now it is time to get involved and make it right
