When two nations decide to fight
so as to test their might,
and satiate their false pride;
The soldiers have no fright;
But their loved ones weep and cry,
Because they think differently.
When missiles graze thro' space,
and bombs destroy a lively place,
Politicians vie for honour and grace,
Soldiers join in the race;
But their loved ones have no craze,
Yes, they think differently.
When triumphant they return,
to make merry and have fun,
The martyrs get a place in the sun;
But tears are left in the eyes of their dear ones.
Oh! they think differently.
