Alone
Surrounded by “friends”
Yet drowning in loneliness
Drinking from a cup “with love fetched”
But swallowing gulps of hatred
Lost
Treading the same path with everyone
But not knowing where to turn
Walking a road supposedly filled with brightness
Yet clouded and staggering in darkness
Confused
Hunted by guilt and pains of past acts
Stuck with the confusion of present tasks
Having dreams and beautiful pictures
But only chasing a mirage of a future
Then you came
For the first time I saw the rising of the sun
For the first time I felt a presence that brought warmth
For the first time I heard words that got life’s puzzles solved
And for the first time I knew the meaning of true love
And when I met you
I knew I had found the one thing that made me whole
I knew I had gotten a lover for my weary soul
The storm was gone and the brighter day had finally come
Heaven was down on earth because love had overcome
Now that you’re near
When you smile my world is filled with joy
When you move I soar beyond the sky
When you breathe I know that I’m alive
And when you speak I hear the sounds of love
How I remember like yesterday
The day when my world had a rebirth
A day that I wish never came to an end
A day whose memory will continuously live on
When I was touched by an angel with love
