Transition
- - - - - - - -
Through fair and
Through cloudy weather
We have been together
When I look forth at you
Many things I remember
Childhood's happy days
And youth's cherished days
Of innocence and truth
Seem well spent and over
Sipping sweets and sours of life
Have reached we at the edge of age
When grief and strife
Bliss and paradise, all seem trifling
But life is too short
For such regretting
Oh! life I know not when to part
But not in mournful regret
That we should have to part
As life is divine and earnest
In fact we don't die
Our body dies
Through illness
And through old age
Goes the body weak and frail
And the person is seen
Parting company with his organs vital
Like a mango or a fig fruit
Separating itself from its stalk
Only to be seen hastening back again
As he came
To the place from which he started
To a new life...
