I couldn't sleep last night
This dream felt so real
I was reliving the past
Reminding me how I feel
When I woke up
I had a hurting heart
I was staring at the ceiling
Until dawn
Not sure what I was feeling
Before dawn
This dream gave me a clue
After all, it was about you
Something tells me things aren't right
It's ironic, the last time we spoke
was on a cold summer night
My heart was still broke
I thought about this as I slept
No wonder I had that dream
Its a wounded heart that was kept.
