I've forgotten the colours of the rainbow.
I don't remember the seasons after spring.
I can't recall the last time I laughed-It seems I'm losin' everything.
It's like a sailor forgettin' the smell of the ocean
Or a pilot no longer able to fly
Lifetime friends not recognizing each other
We've become like strangers...you and I.
Still I sit and watch in the distance, as you go living along
Praying you'll always be the victor, praying you'll always be strong
I'm the lilly in the desert...I'm a whale beached out of the sea.
And all I've given my heart to, has somehow forgotten me.
I'm singing this song for all, but it's a song without a verse.
For love is breaking many hearts tonight.
And somehow I've fallen to it's curse.
I'll be looking through the window.
I'll be seated by the phone.
Should you decide to stop by.
I'll take the time out to be home.
If not...
Then I'll see you in my dreams,
Maybe kiss you in my dreams.....
