Nice clear, cool running water
the fresh sound ripples by
in the pool, a flash, a stir
I look and wonder why?
I am sure it was a fish
then again, could be an eel?
might have been a sparkle on the surface
in any case better go get my reel
Took a hock form my vest
I dropp a line, hope for the best
A lot of people think I am obsessed
I just think, 'I am the friggen best'
The line has been down for quit a while
here is me sitting, without a smile
I sit and wonder if fish have brains
They must have, their under water when it rains
Now the sun starts to go down
here's me still with my frown
No catch today, no fisher-man blood in my veins
I suppose then, I must say, ' Fish must have Brains'
