i'm alone now says
the heavy thickened silence
echoing around me
quickening my pace
the clouds move on says
the gently padding snow
covering my footsteps
softening this face
the moon continues rising says
the beams in reverence
it cannot, will not stop
the stars, it's simple tears
time refuses ceasing says
the hollow, bitter ticking
the clock within admitting
his deepest, lonely fears
And still the World spins
on it's dizzying track
filling in the spaces
and never looking back
