Things keep changing
changing without us
the unnoticed
its changed so much
kids weren’t doing drugs in f**king grade 7
or getting drunk at that age
but now for some that is when it starts
people used to be safe
at night
at school
at parties
with families and friends
at home
and even in there bedroom
but
not anymore
I hear the stories
well I sit in the hall
who got:
drunk
stoned
arrested
laid
drugged
raped
who is on “E”
Who tried LSD
These kids are in grade 9 and up
those are the kids in just my halls
I wonder, is it just like this in my halls
or is it the same in all the halls
I just don’t believe it all
all that I’ve seen
the laughs at the costs of other
the red eyes
the hang overs
the jumpy
the lies
for I’ve seen it all
I’ve seen too much
for most people to handle
but that is all I can do
sit and watch
