Chiara Sophia comes through the door
Does a cartwheel on the floor
Over and over, upside down
And downside up she turns around,
Another cartwheel and ten cartwheels more.
Two legs wide, two arms akimbo
Two thick pigtails flying in limbo,
Vitruvian Man in endless traction
Is not a patch on her wheel action
Rolling, turning, spinning tornado.
'Why are you doing this? ' I demand.
'That's a really silly question, Gran,
It's simply because I KNOW I CAN'
And on she rolls like a Catherine Wheel
Hands over head and head over heel.
