and led you to believe
I wanted more than
being friends before you leave
Maybe you were a sucker
for that ass hole last year
all he had to do was pucker
and you'd kiss his away his tears
Maybe you didn't fall for the one before
but you should have fallen for him too
because he would have given you more
and never would have hurt you
Maybe you refused to fall
for the one who tried last time
but he was probably best of all
and you treated him like slime
and then you began to fall for me
whom you thought was the perfect fit
you thought I'd treat you oh so sweetly
but I could only treat you like shit
because maybe I'm afraid
of getting involved again
and am overly dismayed
about the what might have beens
or maybe I'm just an ass you'll soon find
and you should forget your plea
because what we had is only in your mind
and I completely disagree
