Imagine
A deaf listening to a dump
Explain how a blind man saw
A lame walk across the street
To meet a pauper hosting a feast
A slave beating the freeborn
In his soil, his father’s kingdom
The moon teaching the sun how to smile
And the snail outrunning the cheetah with a mile
Imagine me
Broken heart, torn spirit
Wounded soul, stabbed body
Loving what I see
When the mirror looks at me
Looking life straight in the face without fear
And tell it “you can’t make me shed no more tear”
Selling to sorrow all the shares I have in Pain Plc
And showing Professor Laughter how best to be happy
Imagine me
Love like I know no hatred
Strong like I know no weakness
Beautiful like I’ve never been ugly
Laugh like I’ve never been unhappy
Light up the world with my smile
Walk out of the past like it wasn’t mine
Live today like I never had a yesterday
And dream tomorrow like nothing mattered today
Imagine me
Loving me, loving you
Loving her, him and them too
I never knew I could after everything
Still imagine me
