wandering along this broken path
my thoughts are so clouded
and many emotions churning
inside this wanderer searching
with each long and tiring step
more lost becomes the tortured soul
unsure of which direction to go
darkness haunts all that's behind
its always looming far too close,
trying to beckon me back to the dark.
soon the path begins crumbling away
i'm standing on the edge of a cliff
the crumbling pieces forever falling
in this bottomless abyss before me.
with no remains of a path ahead,
darkness keeps slowly approaching
pushing me closer to the edge of the cliff
