Censor Board Gives 'A' Certificate To 'Badlapur'
"Sriram Raghavan's next film Badlapur, which is a dark revenge drama, has got an 'A' certificate from the Censor Board after Raghavan refused to tone down the sexually explicit and violent scenes.
A source claims that the Censor Board was willing to give the film an U/A rating provided Raghavan chopped some scenes, but the filmmaker refused to budge and gladly accepted an 'A' certificate if it meant not cutting or editing any scenes. Incidentally, Badlapur will be Varun Dhawan's first movie with an adult rating.
Apart from Dhawan, Badlapur, which stars Yaami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, Divya Dutta and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, is slated to release on February 20."
