Lawyer: Yong is the best example of anti-drug

Yong Vui Kong faces the death penalty, which is carried out by hanging, after he was convicted in 2008 of trafficking 47 grams (1.65 ounces) of heroin into Singapore.

Both Malaysia and Singapore have tough anti-drug laws and rarely seek clemency for nationals facing drug charges in the other country.

Singapore human right lawyer M Ravi, describe that Yong Vui Kong comes from poor family, and being illiterate and deceived, he lost his way and ended up facing death penalty for drug trafficking.

He said that Yong has acknowledged his wrongdoing, but haven't given up life. Though behind bars, he studies language and turns to Buddhism.

Ravi urged Singapore government to give Yong a second chance for live.
