Those who returned told of a journey through hostile lands, of crossing treacherous mountain passes & desert gorges in their search for a valley where people live for hundreds of years. David Adams goes in search of Shangri-La in the icy valleys of the Himalaya and Karakoram Mountains in Far North Pakistan.Its two year production made it the most expensive adventure travel series ever commissioned in Australia. The series was co-produced by David Adams. It was nominated for Best Documentary Series by the Australian Logie Awards.
David Adams crosses the high mountains of Northern Pakistan in search of Shangri-La, immortalized by James Hilton in his classic novel Lost Horizons in Adams' "Journeys to the Ends of the Earth" series.
