How did the humans repeatedly beat this orc army, even though the orcs had a larger economy and a bigger force most of the time? In this game I tried using a beastmaster, who has a hawk which spies invisible enemies.
My theory is that the headhunters did not have the range to fully engage at one point. Of course, that could have easily been resolved by ordering the Demolishers to do some landscaping. Instead, the huge army tried to squeeze through bottlenecks. At times, this meant that parts of the orc army were out of formation or trailing behind in disarray.
Although, even if that group of headhunters could not focus their fire, the real problem was being too cavalier with the blademaster. Because the human army consisted of both air and ground units, it was much easier to hero focus. Fragmentation shards ripped apart any units hit by their area of effect, and storm hammers rained down doing more area of effect. Add to that some nice buffs and summons and it is game over for the orcs.
