An amusing video has emerged from the US of a bride using a catapult for her bouquet toss.
The footage, captured at a wedding in California, shows the bride pulling a string which fires the trebuchet.
The bouquet is sent flying into the air and is caught by a delighted female guest.
The catapult was built by the bride's two brothers, who have an interest in engineering.
"After a little brainstorming, this is what we came up with," he wrote online.
"It will launch a bouquet 40ft, a bean bag 100ft, and a baseball 220ft."
