As it searches for new live and goes where no man has gone before. Even though we have seen deserts and mostly empty planets before and we stay in a small not well developed cluster with conveniently placed terraforming buildings. Captain. Yes ensign with the same voice. Pirate ship on the port bow. On screen! ) arh hello there matey you ready for an epic adventure and lots of new things (nah) what do you mean you landlubber (my face is too tired) your what?!
( ah yes mass effect andromeda is here and… my bodyless pirate friend has been looking forward to this). Of course I have, I can now go onto explore planets in my space SHIp. Find new treasures and things one cant imagine. ( I am afraid that I have to disappoint you) what are ye talking about. They have a brand new galaxy to fill you cant seriously mean they haven’t filled it with new civilization and locations that would please my pirate soul. ( I am afraid that that is exactly what they didn’t do, there are several planets to explore yes, but one is a desert world, one is a nuclear wasteland, one is just a jungle and one is a giant ice ball and one has a small civilization but you cant really explore it). That be it? (yeah) all that bloody potential.. very well lets get into our guide to mass Disappointment (Mass Effect Andromeda).
1. Let’s start the with the combat ye landlubber (yes let’s start with something a bit more positive) . In this game they have added a new sprint ability so that you are more mobile and stay less behind covers. (yet they haven’t added any new enemies that use the same kind of abilities that force you to use this) But the combat is way faster and fluid now and with this new ability they have added some new platforms to go to adding new strategical options for fighting enemies. (this is true if they didn’t keep half of the enemies as bullet sponges and not designing bossfights around the new mechanics and mobility. You can still stay behind one cover to kill the enemy and most of the times is more preverable then running around like a chicken without a head) there are more then enough enemies and times when you can use it for good and then the combat shines like a brand new…. canon ( I thought you would say spaceship there).
2. Before we can continue on with anything else we have to talk about the Graphics, the graphics of the back grounds, the ship and the planets (we forgetting about the character animation) that needs its own point on the things that are up with it. ( its own point? It needs its own day, there is so much wrong wit..) AS I SAID, we will talk about that next so lets now focus on the rest. The worlds are very well made and everything looks shining and well made (isn’t that because they used mass effect 3 assets?) reusing assets doesn’t has to be bad, just look at the legend of Zelda Majora’s mask. (damn, I, yeah that’s right but I doesn’t really push the medium forward in any direction) ai but landlubber not every game has to push the envelope and I think the graphics work very well for this game in this aspect.
3. Seeing we have a brand new galaxy to explore we should pay some attention to the exploration. This game is focused on exploring new worlds in the Nomad. (the replacement of mass effect on ice) eh what? ( well as much as I love the originals, the mako just felt like a drunk man riding on ice skates, it was so annoying to control) not just that is it mister sourpuss. (ugh yes, the original game had planets that were mostly empty, just a base you had to fight through so in that case its an improvement) so ye lied to me you scallywag. This game is good, its better than the original at least and with the rest it will probably be better than all other 3. ( it might be better then the original game but seeing that we have an ice planet, 2 desert planets one jungle one and one with a falling civilization. It feels like missed opportunity) what do you mean? ( well instead of exploring beautifull flora and fauna and exploring thriving civilizations you just spend your time running and gunning in ruins) but the original didn’t have that either ( yeah its just a missed opportunity but I will talk more about this in the story section). As ye wish but this section goes to mass effect awesome ( Andromeda)
4. Next up are the Characters, you cant have an amazing space travel withouth some amazing people to interact with ( well we have female garrus, ehm the black guy.. a female.. and I forgot the rest) is ye landlubber memorys bad?
