What to Expect The Oscars will be handed out on March 4 to honor this year's best performances and films in 24 categories. Tiffany Haddish and Andy Serkis are set to announce the nominees. The Shape of Water dominated with 13 nominations including best picture, lead actress and best director. Not far behind is Dunkirk with eight nominations. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which received the most awards at the Golden Globes earned seven nominations in total. Like last year, the ceremony will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
