Bitcoin's Free Fall Continues, Drops Below $8,000 The world's most expensive cryptocurrency fell nearly 20 percent early Friday morning, hitting $7,540 on Coinbase, a two-month low. Other cryptocurrencies experienced severe drops as well, with Ethereum and Ripple falling by 23 and 31 percent respectively. “The regulatory pressure is extremely strong and that is creating a bad environment for cryptos. In the short term, it’s shaking out a lot of investors.” According to Coinmarketcap.com, the total market value currently sits at $385 billion, less than half the value of it's all-time high.
