For some years now I have only used my home-tied hooklinks for all of my specimen fishing. This way I can use a variety of materials to create hooklinks that exactly suit my own requirements and are to my exacting specifications.
If and when I am playing that special fish, I want to know that my hooklinks are as good as they can be and that they will not let me down. I can also gear them to perfectly suit whichever bait or method I am employing.
In this video I talk you through tying my current (I am prone to change in the search for improvements) barbel fishing hooklinks and tie one up for the camera. This is the exact same version of the hooklink mentioned in the previous video, the one on which I landed my Warwickshire Avon PB last Monday.
I hope it all makes sense.
If you have any questions or comments, please post them below and I will do my best to answer them.
Thanks for watching.
