The dictionary defines the word "Genius" as "an exceptional natural capacity of intellect, especially as shown in creative and original work in science, art, music, etc." So if one were to call somebody a "Comedic Genius," then one would assume that the subject they were referring to would be superior to others in terms of comedic brilliance.
