LOS ANGELES — According to NBC News, last week when Los Angeles police discovered Timothy Dean dead in the apartment of Democratic activist and political donor Ed Buck, Jasmyne Cannick was not shocked.
Six months ago over Twitter, Cannick had posted a warning about Buck. "If another young, Black gay man overdoses or worse dies at Democratic donor Ed Buck's apartment it's going to be the fault of the sheriff's dept and L.A. District Atty for not stopping him when they had the opportunity to," she tweeted in July.
In July 2017, 26-year-old black male Gemmel Moore died from a meth overdose at Buck's apartment.
After doing some digging, Cannick found Moore's journal that said Buck got him hooked on crystal and forced him to use it against his will.
Cannick has since collected a bunch of information showing Buck preys on poor black men by asking them over to his place to slam speed with injections.
She has published all the accounts from men who said they went to Buck's apartment for paid booty calls and drugs on her personal website.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed Thursday that homicide is currently investigating TImothy Dean's death.
Several Democrats have given back donations from Buck, including U.S. Rep. Ted Lieu and former state Senator Kevin de Leon.
