Horrifying incident of rape reported from Lakhimpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A 10-year-old girl who was carrying lunch for her father who was busy on the farm has been allegedly raped by a man named Umesh who hailed from the same village. He dragged the unsuspecting child into sugarcane field and raped her. The child was allegedly threatened by the rapist and was found much later when her family launched a hunt for her. Finding the child in such a shocking state, her father took her to the police station and registered a complaint. The victim is in hospital while the police say they are hunting for the absconding alleged rapist.
