Congress leaders have pushed government for a populist budget, Income tax exemption limit may go upto three lakh and LPG cylinder cap may also go up from 9 to 12. Finance Minister Chidambaram met senior Cong leaders today in Delhi to seek their opinion on this. Congress has also said that the budget should affect the common man.
