Apart from inflationary winds, this budget is also NOT likely to have any impact on the slumping growth figures at least in the foreseeable future. Stock markets have already expressed disappointment with the hike in tax surcharge for corporate and the dividend distribution tax. Lack of clarity on Direct Tax Code and Goods and Services Tax also dampened the mood.
