కరోనా మహమ్మారి కారణంగా ఇప్పటి వరకు భారీగా క్షీణించిన వస్తుసేవల పన్ను(జీఎస్టీ) జనవరి 2021లో అంచనాలను మించి పుంజుకుంది. జనవరి నెలకు గానూ అత్యధికంగా సుమారు 1.20 లక్షల కోట్లు వసూలయ్యాయి. అంతేగాక, జీఎస్టీ అమల్లోకి వచ్చిన తర్వాత ఇంత భారీ స్థాయిలో వసూలవ్వడం ఇదే తొలిసారి కావడం విశేషం.
