Traumatic Experiences: Peter Siegfried Krug was born in Salzburg in 1966 and grew up in institutions and with foster parents. He suffered abuse, including being forced to write the phrase "I'm stupid and I don't know why" in beautiful handwriting hundreds of times as punishment.
No contact with his biological father: He never met his biological father, a doctor.
Complicated Relationship with His Mother: He had a difficult relationship with his biological mother. She often treated him with contempt, which is why he broke off contact with her in 2011. She died in April 2024.
