After an impeachment complaint was lodged against Vice President Sara Duterte in the House of Representatives, it set in motion the impeachment process under the 1987 Constitution, raising the question: If she is impeached, who would replace her?
Senate President Francis "Chiz" Escudero explained that the line of succession would not be triggered if the Vice President’s post is vacated. He said that this would only happen if the President and Vice President are removed or the President, Vice President, and Senate President get removed all at the same time.
