Brig. Gen. Michael G. Samson, commander of the 3rd Infantry Division of Philippine Army, says on April 11, 2025 that communist terrorist groups will not have a major influence in the conduct of the upcoming midterm elections in Western Visayas. Comelec-6 Director Dennis Ausan said the Regional Joint Security Command Center (RJSCC) was 100 percent prepared for the upcoming elections, citing that the activities are still within the schedule.
