In this video, I'll show how to fix the problem of Battlefield 4 on Steam "Running install script (Punkbuster Anti-Cheat)", instead of finishing and launching the game. The Punkbuster install script on Steam runs indefinitely, not finishing and players awaiting "forever" to play the game. There is no window to click, there is no installation in sight, and for this reason, Battlefield 4 does not launch and does not start, and many players don't know what to do.
This problem is caused by the fact that, in the case of Battlefield 4, the Punkbuster installation script window appears behind the Steam platform window, and for this reason, many users are not aware that the install script is awaiting for the user agreement.

To fix this, follow the steps.
1. Open your Steam library
2. Select "Battlefield 4"
3. Click on "Play"
4. Minimize the Steam window
5. Install Punkbuster Anti-Cheat
The Punkbuster installation window appears behind the Steam window. For this reason, it is necessary to minimize the Steam window in order to proceed through the Punkbuster installation.
If the game is still not opening after this procedure, you may also need to download and install (or repair) the EA App, in order to play Battlefield 4.
