New Jersey in Crisis: Flash Flooding Forces State of Emergency

2025-07-16 15 Dailymotion

New Jersey was rocked by a powerful storm on July 14 that dumped intense rainfall across multiple counties, causing dangerous flash flooding and widespread power outages. Some areas were hit with 3 to 4 inches of rain per hour, overwhelming drainage systems and submerging roads and neighborhoods.

The National Weather Service issued a Flood Watch, warning of the high risk of flash floodsβ€”and those warnings quickly became reality. Streets turned into rivers, vehicles were abandoned, and emergency crews scrambled to respond.
