This is the terrifying moment a stingray tried to attack a fisherman.
The video, filmed in Aotea, New Zealand, captured the close call on video.
Tim Fairhurst from New Zealand can be seen in the video narrowly avoiding the sharp end of the stingray.
Tim said: “ I actually caught the stingray as a bycatch and brought it up to shore to release.
“He slowly stalked me back to the boat.
"At the time, I didn’t think much of it, but then out of nowhere he tried to wack me, which gave us a big surprise.”
