New robotic dog showcased at conference aims to tackle all-terrain environment
On Saturday, July 26, a four wheel-legged robotic dog was showcased at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai. Named LYNX M20, and developed by China's Deep Robotics, the robot is able to adapt to a multitude of terrain, including grass, sand and forest trails.
The robotic dog is also able to climb up and down steps and walk upright, permitting it to navigate complex environments in an agile manner. The dog can also do backflips.
Qian Xiaoyu, Senior Marketing and Communication Manager of Deep Robotics said the dog, which is equipped with various detection sensors, is designed for search, rescue, industrial inspection and emergency operations in extreme scenarios.
