European dockworkers demand halt to arms shipments to Israel
Israel says its Gaza offensive is self-defence, but dissent is spreading. In June, French dockworkers blocked a shipment of arms components bound for Israel, rousing support across Europe. In the Italian port of Genoa, dockworkers — long opposed to arms exports — joined the protest.
