Kamchatka, Russia – A massive earthquake measuring 8.7 on the Richter scale struck Russia's Far Eastern Kamchatka Peninsula on Wednesday morning, triggering tsunami waves up to 4 metres and causing widespread panic and damage.
Epicentre: 133 km southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 74 km.
