This crazy footage shows one hero kayaker rescuing a man, floating in a raft, from strong river rapids with just a rope.
Ethan Marsh was out kayaking in Gore Canyon on the Colorado river, Colorado, USA, on the 27th of July, 2025, when he saw his friend struggling to stay afloat in the river rapids.
Acting quickly, Ethan pulled to the side and climbed up a small ridge, throwing his rope to the struggling rafter.
The panicking rafter held on to the rope, still struggling to stay steady, until Ethan managed to pull him to safety.
Fortunately, he says that no one was hurt from the scary ordeal.
Ethan said: “I rescued my friends getting thrashed.
“He was already in the hole, at this point, my focus should be only on getting the surfer out of the hole.
“The swimmer was taken care of their friends in the raft.”
The video went viral online with one user writing: “Great job. Quick. Smooth. Decisive action.”
Another said: “Well done!”
A third commented: “Aware of the danger, observed the situation. Prepared for what could go wrong. Reacted quickly.”
