The Walking Dead: Michonne is an episodic graphic adventure video game developed by Telltale Games, released in 2016. It is based on The Walking Dead comic book series and serves as a mini-series exploring events that occurred during Michonne's temporary departure from Rick Grimes' group between issues #126 and #139 of the comic series

The game consists of three episodes: "In Too Deep," "Give No Shelter," and "What We Deserve" [1] [2] [6]. These episodes were released between February and April 2016 [1]. Samira Wiley provided the voice for Michonne in the game [1] [3] [7].

The plot follows Michonne as she grapples with hallucinations and guilt stemming from abandoning her two daughters, Colette and Elodie, before the zombie apocalypse [1] [2]. She joins a group of survivors led by Pete on his boat, The Companion [1] [2]. Their journey leads them to an abandoned ferry, The Mobjack, where they encounter Samantha and Greg Fairbanks, who are being hunted by Randall, a member of a larger group led by his sister, Norma [1] [2]. Michonne and Pete are taken hostage to Norma's community, Monroe [1] [2].

Throughout the game, players make choices that influence the narrative, such as whether to ambush Randall, how to handle the death of Greg, and whether to let Pete sacrifice himself [1] [2]. The story culminates in a confrontation with Norma and her group, leading to a fiery escape from Monroe [1] [2]. Ultimately, Michonne, Pete, and his crew plan to scavenge supplies and drop off the remaining survivors, with Pete suggesting Michonne return to the Alexandria Safe-Zone and Rick Grimes' group [1] [2].

Originally, The Walking Dead: Michonne was planned as downloadable content for The Walking Dead: Season Two but was later released as a standalone title [1] [9] [10]. The game was developed using a partially reworked Telltale Tool engine, which offered improved support for newer consoles [1] [12]. The official soundtrack, composed by Jared Emerson-Johnson, was released in 2019 [1] [13].

The game received mixed reviews, with praise for its atmosphere, action sequences, and Michonne's character development, but criticism for its story, side characters, short episode lengths, and graphical glitches [1] [15] [18] [21]. It is available on various platforms, including Windows PCs, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and mobile devices
