Albay holds annual procession
The 249-year-old image of Nuestra Señora de Salvacion, the patroness of Albay, was the focus of the ‘Aurora in the Sea’ procession held before dawn in Joroan, Tiwi town in Albay on Saturday, August 16.
The maritime procession was joined by over 100 fishing boats.
Devotees believe the image, also known as Our Lady of Light, brings hope, healing, abundant blessings, strength, and inspiration.
