Adolescent education on HPV needed to address misconceptions
Dr. Christina Padolina, Navotas City administrator, during the Centralized Laboratory Model for HPV DNA Screening (CLAMPS) media launch on Aug. 19, 2025 in Makati City, tells the _Manila Times that education for adolescents is needed to address misconceptions that HPV is a disease that only affects women. Likewise, Carmen Auste of the Cancer Warriors Foundation Inc. cited international efforts, including the UK-based NOMAD initiative, which advocates for 'gender-neutral' HPV vaccination rather than limiting it to women.
