Video footage from Simon Harkness as he flew over Lough Neagh in the week beginning 11 August 2025, showing toxic algae covering almost the entire lough. Further footage from West Shore Angling shows 'distressed' eels climbing out of the water looking for alternative water sources due to the lack of oxygen. The algae is being blamed for absorbing all the oxygen.
