Marcos 'very angry' over non-existent riverwall in Bulacan
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Aug. 20, 2025 said he was 'extremely' disappointed after personally visiting the site of a supposedly completed riverwall project in Baliuag, Bulacan only to find out 'not even one hollow block' was put in place. 'More than (being) disappointed, I am getting very angry,' Marcos said in a chance interview following his inspection in Barangay Piel of the supposed '220 meters, P55 million infrastructure," which turned out to be 'really nothing.' The contract for the construction of the infrastructure, which took effect last February, was awarded to Syms Construction Trading. Marcos threatened to file 'economic sabotage' charges against these erring government contractors.
