Life and death cycle on, irrevocably intertwined... nature stops just long enough to bury its dead, and then moves on... history is the dried blood in a handful of dust... not since Jack London's The Sea Wolf has a book's philosophical implications snuck up and socked my noggin from behind... great stuff.
